The 1.3 update adds new Skulls, including a crossover featuring The King from Dead Cells. It’s all very well done in terms of gameplay, as it rarely gets boring and even takes advantage of its rogue-like nature, changing things up as you go along. Dead cells has more replayability, mastering different weapons and maps. You’ll need them because some of these humans can be downright nasty, forcing you to change up your tactics. Both very different game, I would say that Dead cells is more difficult than Skul. What’s more, you can switch between the two at any time creating unique attack methods as a result. You see, the main hero, Skul, can interchange skulls that can change up the effects you use, such as being able to smash the ground with some or even creating devastating attacks with others. The main thing that really stands out with a game like this is just how much gameplay can differ from something as simple as the skull you’re wearing.
